Petzoldt's MAGIC-Clean cleaning clay removes safely and gently: paint or paint mist, industrial deposits, rust, tree resins (not suitable for soft / sticky tree resins), insect remains, (dried) tar, deposits of acid rain, iron dust particles (even on windscreens) and brake dust.

This lacquer cleaning putty developed for the automotive industry gently and effortlessly removes all surface deposits - on the car, motorcycle, boat or bike - from all paint surfaces without attacking the paint layer. In this gentle paint cleaning even the gloss remains, and the use of old, aggressive paint cleaner can be avoided.

Lubricant for cleaning dough

Since the cleaning dough may not be used on dry surfaces, you will need a suitable lubricant for it depending on the intended use. We recommend to use our products special lubricants for cleaning kneading (for wet surfaces), special sliding-detailer (for dry surfaces), gloss-care rim cleaner, gentle on materials and the Petzoldt's car glass cleaner, so you're on the safe side (car shampoo Water mixture or water can also be used with a reduction in the cleaning performance and possibly also in the formation of traces). Because conventional cleaners or even dishwashing detergents, universal or glass cleaners attack the cleaning dough. That is, it dissolves or dries up. As a result, the plasticine hardens and becomes unusable, or dissolves and becomes sticky when working (lubricating film on the surfaces).

Operation with cleaning dough

Spray some of the above recommended lubricant onto the previously cleaned surface, and slide the MAGIC-Clean cleaning dough over the surface without pressure. The cleaning dough will remove and absorb all fine surface defects and tangible impurities. If pimples or other deposits continue to be felt, it may well be that the blue cleaning putty is too mild. To remove these extreme deposits you should use a red cleaning putty.

Here are the exact step-by-step instructions for the blue cleaning putty:

1. Clean / wash the surfaces thoroughly.
2. Knead the cleaning dough palm-sized.
3. Spray a lubricant recommended for your purpose above, on the surface to be cleaned, and then simply push the cleaning dough over the surface without pressure.
4. Look at the cleansing side of the clay every now and then. Are dirt particles visible? Simply fold the hand-shaped dough in the middle once and press it back to palm size. This way, the dissolved dirt particles are optimally integrated.
5. Repeat this process until all contaminants are tangibly removed from the surfaces.
6. Simply remove the remaining lubricant with a soft, damp microfibre cloth and, if necessary, rub with a clean and dry microfibre cloth.
7. If necessary, you can polish the paint and z. B. with wax or glossy paint seal, finished.

What to pay attention to?

• As already written, cleaning dough must not be used dry.
• In the cold season, a cold cleaning dough can be warmed in warm water for a few minutes. However, low outside temperatures are suboptimal (optimal: 15 to 22 ° C).
• Even in the blazing sun, or on hot / warm surfaces: do not clean with the play dough.
• The cleaning dough must not be used on matt surfaces (matt lacquer, matt foil, etc. pp.) (Keyword: glossing).
• A more heavily soiled blue cleaning putty can continue to use to remove dirt and grime on windshields or painted rims until cleaning performance is removed.
• In order to be able to continue to use a dropped dough that has only fallen on one side, the soiled side should be separated as a layer with a knife.
